Youth Orchestra Auditions

Open auditions for Venice Symphony Youth Orchestra ensembles will take place on Sunday, August 12 at The Venice Symphony Music Suite, Building 42, behind the Venice Performing Arts Center. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your audition time for warm up and audition list placement. If you are unable to audition on this date, please contact vsyo@thevenicesymphony.org.
Noon to 1:45 pm – Violins
2 to 3:15 pm – Violas and Cellos
3:30 to 4 pm – Double Bass
Audition requirement:
Advanced Orchestra (Symphonic Strings) – Two short contrasting studies or solos or the exposition of a standard solo work, two major and a chromatic scales, sight-reading
Intermediate Orchestra (Concert Strings) – One study etude, or solo piece, two major scales, sight-reading
