About the Venice Symphony Summer Music Camp
For more than 25 years, The Venice Symphony has proudly provided an annual music camp experience to students in grades two to twelve at all experience levels. Our camp meets or exceeds the state-mandated benchmarks. Students have the opportunity to play a variety of string, brass and percussion instruments, from the flute to the harp. They learn about music history and theory and can also attend classes in chorus, musical theater and choose keyboard, string, jazz or vocal instruction and enjoy learning musical concepts and history.
The two-week program takes place at Island Village Montessori School in Venice. On the last day of the program, the students will perform a concert for their families, friends and the public, at the Venice Performing Arts Center. Need-based scholarships are made possible through grants and donations as well as from funds raised at The Venice Symphony’s Jazz with Pizzazz and Symphony of Games fundraisers.
