Maestro Bowermeister has completed two years as Conductor/Music Director of the Venice Symphony. He is the former conductor of Sarasota Pops Orchestra, Florida West Coast Youth Symphony, and Florida West Coast Symphonic Strings and College Chamber Orchestra. He has appeared as guest conductor with the Florida West Coast Sympony, Florida Chamber Orchestra and the International Festival Orchestra of Oxford, England. In 2002, he directed the Florida All-State Seventh and Eighth Grade Orchestra and has served as conductor for many All-County Honors Orchestras throughout Florida as well as the Florida State University Summer Music Camp Orchestras. The Venice Symphony
The Venice Symphony has become the pride of South Sarasota County. Residents and tourists fill its performance hall for six sets of concerts each year, December through April. Conductor Kenneth Bowermeister charms the audiences with entertaining and informative comments about the compositions and their composers.

Orchestras Feeding America Food Drive
We are again participating in "Orchestras Feeding America." All food collected will be distributed by the South County Food Pantry. Boxes will be in the narthex and backstage at the March 2 and 3 concerts. Needed food items are the following canned items: beans, meats, tuna, salmon, fruits, vegetables, pasta and sauces, soup. Also canned and powdered milk, macaroni and cheese, peanut butter, jelly, rice. Thank you to all of you in advance for contributing to this enormous need in our community.
