Conductor/Music Director
Maestro Bowermeister has completed two years as Conductor/Music Director of the Venice Symphony. He is the former conductor of Sarasota Pops Orchestra, Florida West Coast Youth Symphony, and Florida West Coast Symphonic Strings and College Chamber Orchestra. He has appeared as guest conductor with the Florida West Coast Sympony, Florida Chamber Orchestra and the International Festival Orchestra of Oxford, England. In 2002, he directed the Florida All-State Seventh and Eighth Grade Orchestra and has served as conductor for many All-County Honors Orchestras throughout Florida as well as the Florida State University Summer Music Camp Orchestras. The Venice Symphony
The Venice Symphony has become the pride of South Sarasota County. Residents and tourists fill its performance hall for six sets of concerts each year, December through April. Conductor Kenneth Bowermeister charms the audiences with entertaining and informative comments about the compositions and their composers.

Orchestras Feeding America Food Drive
We collected over 400 pounds of food for the South County Food Pantry in 2011. Our contact, Angelo Agrearto, Director, and his staff provided boxes in the Narthex and backstage. Donations were picked up and counted after each concert. Orchestra members gave a large amount of food and for this they are to be complimented. Thank you to everyone who donated food for this cause on behalf of the Venice Symphony. This program will be repeated in March, 2012
