THE VENICE SYMPHONY RECEIVES GRANT FROM GULF COAST COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

Venice, FL – November 14, 2018 – Gulf Coast Community Foundation has awarded The Venice Symphony a $30,000 Arts Appreciation Grant to provide core support and season sponsorship for its 2018-18 season. This grant will help fund the full Symphonic and Pops concert season at the Venice Performing Arts Center. It also supports The Symphony’s March 17, 2019 Jazz with Pizzazz fundraiser for Symphony in the Schools and the Summer Music Camp.

“This grant and the continued support of Gulf Coast Community Foundation is so important, as The Venice Symphony strives to bring high quality performances and outstanding musicians to our South Sarasota community,” said Executive Director Christine Kasten. “The grant will also provide funding for The Symphony to bring music education to students from North Port to South Sarasota, many of whom would not experience symphonic music if it wasn’t for these programs and the support of Gulf Coast.”
