THE VENICE SYMPHONY RECEIVES GRANT FROM GULF COAST COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

Venice, FL – October 18, 2017 – Gulf Coast Community Foundation has awarded The Venice Symphony a $30,000 Arts Appreciation Grant to provide core support for its 2017-18 season. This grant will help fund the full concert season at the Venice Performing Arts Center. It will also support The Symphony’s signature Jazz with Pizzazz fundraiser for music education and the Summer Music Camp.

“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Gulf Coast Community Foundation. This grant and the continued support of Gulf Coast is crucial this year as The Venice Symphony brings in seven guest conductors and guest soloists for our “Finding Maestro” season,” said Executive Director Christine Kasten. “The grant will also allow The Symphony to reach even more students in our community through our music education programs, assuring that we can continue to offer scholarships to every child who wants to attend our summer camp, regardless of ability to pay.”
